Cookery Class HC1: All Ireland Home Cook Junior Qualifier

HOME COOK CHAMPION JUNIOR

Terms and Conditions  

Competition entrants must be:   

  • In full time secondary school education term September 2018-June/July 2019
  • Resident in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland   
  • You must be available to participate in the one of the regional finals and the All Ireland final cook off (if chosen), see dates and locations of shows close to you. Final cook-off, All Ireland Final will take place at Bunnyconnellan show, Co. Mayo on Monday August 5th 2019.

  • If you are under 18 years of age please provide the contact details of a parent or Guardian            
  • Email your , Name, Full home Address, Date of Birth, Email address, School Attending and Phone number to johnmartinevent@gmail.com or Call John Martin on 087 2681635. Alternatively you can contact one of the participating shows which are listed below..
  • Entrants can enter as individuals or in teams of two.

 

Competition Format:  

  • Qualifiers will have 45 minutes to prepare and cook a main course of their choice at the regional show.   
  • A gas hob and electric oven will be provided at the show along with power points and a work area. Each contestant must bring along their own ingredients and whatever pots pans knives ECT that they require to prepare and cook their dish.
  • Dishes will be judged on presentation, Cooking skills, Taste, cleanliness and best use of ingredients.    
  • The winner of each regional show will receive €200. This will be presented at the All Ireland Final. The winner of the All Ireland final will receive €1000.
