Nestled in the quiet parklands of the stunning Newbridge House and Farm, just a short jaunt from Dublin airport, The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre (TSEAC) Stage at Flavours of Fingal is a kaleidoscope of artistic wonder. With a whole weekend of entertainment planned, the TSEAC Stage is a whimsical oasis where we invite you to get lost in the magic of music, theatre, and family fun.

At the TSEAC Stage, magic blooms. From heartfelt ballads to toe-tapping beats, we’ve woven a tapestry of Irish sounds and theatrical delights. As the sun sets, our adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Happy Prince’ enchants, and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ dances to life. But it’s the Family Céilí that truly unites us—old and young, spinning in joy. So dance, laugh, and celebrate our shared magic.

From the boot-scootin’ beats of ‘Hawthorn Door’ to the heartfelt ballads of ‘The Dublin Trio’ our stage isn’t just set, its sizzling with the unmistakable sounds of Ireland.

From toe-tapping beats to theatrical delights, we transport you into a world of enchantment with exclusive adaptions of Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Happy Prince’ and a sneak peak of our 2024 TSEAC shakespearience ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. So let the magic wrap around you like a cosy quilt as we bring fairy tales to life with powerful sonnets, mischievous antics, and a little bit of TSEAC madness, because you all know that we do love a unique twist on everything that we do!

And because our rich heritage is at the heart of everything that we do, we are also hosting a good ol’ Family Céilí in celebration of our Irish culture and community. Featuring traditional Irish Music, dancing, and fun for all ages. We invite you all to soak up the atmosphere and dance like nobody is watching as we guide you through the steps and ensure that everyone has a great time.

HAWTHORN DOOR
SATURDAY & SUNDAY 11:00 - 11:45  | TSEAC DOME STAGE

The hawthorn tree was believed to serve as a doorway to the mystical otherworld of the Tuatha Dé Danann and the Síoga. The band encapsulates the myth and magic of the Hawthorn door in their Celtic music with a modern twist. This Donabate trio, made up of Ciarán Mac Giolla Rua, Shane Coll and Eoin Ó Hailpín, wear their heart on their sleeve with their funky sense of fashion, traditional ballads, and bilingual originals. This trinity of ceoltóirí provide a lively arrangement from beautiful folk songs to raucous ballads in a set that guarantees craic, ceol, canadh agus damhsa!

Enjoy a real taste of Traditional Irish Music, and get a glimpse into TSEAC’s authentic programming with an engaging early afternoon session from The Dublin Trio. Featuring Kevin Conneff of The Chieftains (bodhrán & vocals,), Joe McKenna (Uilleann pipes & whistles) & Tony Byrne (guitars).

FAMILY CÉILÍ

Join us for a family fun ceilí event! We invite you to dance like nobody’s watching as experienced ceilí dancing instructors, Jerry O’Reilly and Rosie Davis guide you through the steps and ensure that everyone has a great time.

​If dancing is not for you then we still invite you to join in the fun, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy live traditional Irish music by Paudie O’Connor, Aoife Ní Chaoimh and Connor Connolly.

OSCAR WILDE'S
'THE HAPPY PRINCE'

Theatre Company Bridging the Gap bring Oscar Wilde’s story of the Happy Prince alive in an hour of family friendly afternoon theatre that will engage and delight. Adapted from Wilde’s short story for children explores the balance between wealth and happiness, and above all, the importance of love and friendship.

TSEAC SHAKESPEARIENCE

'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

SATURDAY ONLY 15:00 - 16:00  | TSEAC DOME STAGE

Our TSEAC Shakespearience is back this Midsummer’s Night to delve into all things romance, comedy, Shakespeare and Comedy. Live Shakespeare performances, with a mix of sketch show madness, and little bit of audience participation thrown in, this interactive performance will showcase some of the best sonnets, funniest exchanges, and craziest characters from Shakespeare’s work. This all-ages performance is not just for Shakespeare enthusiasts but anyone who wants a fun filled evening of song, music and laughter!

FARÓ

SATURDAY & SUNDAY 16:45 - 17:45  | TSEAC DOME STAGE

The name FARÓ comes from an Irish evocation of strength used in battles through the 1500’s. The group combines their diverse musical backgrounds into Irish and Scottish melodies, captivating audiences with uilleann pipes, drones, and vocal harmony.

In March, FARÓ headlined Collins Barracks for Saint Patrick’s Festival. In May, they were house band at TressellFest in Liberty Hall, and following this were invited by President Higgins to perform at Áras an Uachtaráin for Bloomsday 2024.
